June 7, 1947 to June 25th, 2011 It is with great sadness we announce that Joe Couckuyt passed away in Mattawa Ontario with his family by his side. Joe was loved greatly by his wife Linda and his four children Jason (Jody), Nathan (Chantal), Germaine and Melanie, his siblings Jacquie, Jack (Judith) and Andy (Charleah) and of course adored by his grandchildren Lily, James, Jason and Zoëlle. Joe left behind a great legacy as a loyal husband, respected brother and a loving father and grandfather. His many friends were also fortunate to have had Joe in their lives. Joe was fortunate enough to retire early from a distinguished banking career with the love of his life Linda and built his dream home in Mattawa. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends but will no doubt continue to watch over them. A service for family and friends was held on Tuesday June 28th at the Legion in Mattawa.
