Peacefully at Nipissing Manoron Thursday June 30, 2011, at the age of 86 years.Merle (nee Rowan) was the beloved wife of the late Stanley R. Lister, who predeceased her in 1979.The proud and loving mother of Chris Ford and her husband Gord of North Bay and Stephen Lister and his wife Gudrun, of Callander, she will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildrenLaura, Danny, Rebecca, Stanley and Christopher and her five great grandchildren.Merle is survived by her sister Jean and was predeceased by her brothers Fred and Ford.A nurse by profession she graduated from the East General Hospital, Toronto, in 1947.In keeping with her wishes cremations has taken place.A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Tuesday July 5th at11:00 am.If desired donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
