LYONS, NORMAN 1947 - 2010
We regret to announce the death of Norman Lyons on September 22nd, 2010 at the age of 63. He was married for 22 years to Martine Lyons (Lauzon) of Kapuskasing. In 2005 he retired from Tembec Sawmill Division after 30 years of service. Norm was an avid golfer; he enjoyed fishing and being with friends. His animated storytelling will live on in our memories. He is survived by a granddaughter, Patricia Lyons (Audette Lyons) of Timmins, his sons Bruce Lyons and Duane Lyons of London, Ontario, his brothers Burt Lyons of London, Mike Lyons of Prince George, Louis Lyons of Vancouver, Arthur Lyons of Thunder Bay, Jean-Guy "Snooks" Lyons of Vancouver, 2 sisters Lorraine Lyons of Vancouver and Jean Credger (Jean-Guy) of Moonbeam. He is predeceased by his brothers Don Lyons, Morris Lyons, Terry Lyons, Robert "Bobby" Lyons, Bill Lyons and his sister Leona Lyons, and his parents Helen and Felix "Bizoot" Lyons. A celebration of Norm's life will be held at the Martyn & Sloan 'Mattawa Chapel' on Saturday at 2 pm. For further information call 744-7400.
