Born in North Bay, June 30, 1935, he took over the family business, Owens Cleaners, at the age of 21 as a result of the untimely death of his father. Later, he and Heather began Owens Interiors which continued for 23 years. Upon retirement, he was employed by Jutras' mail service until his beloved hobby of woodworking became his full time commitment. He also enjoyed fishing and duck hunting with his friends and scuba diving in the pristine waters of Florida, the Carribean and South America. He enjoyed his later years peacefully on the shores of his favourite Trout Lake. He will be sadly missed by his many friends and his loving family. A special thank you to the nursing staff of 3E Scollard Site for their kind care during his hospitalization. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Canadian Arthritic Society or North Bay Rorab Shrine Club are appreciated.
