ETCHES, Jack - Passed away peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital on Sunday, December 14th, 2008 at the age of 74. He was the loving husband of the late Nelda Smith and dear son of the late Alex Etches and the late Margaret Amond. Loving father to John Charles (Myrna) Etches and Mary-Ellen Etches both of North Bay. He leaves behind his brothers: George (Sharon) Etches of North Bay and Ronnie Etches of Prince George, B.C. and his sisters: Betty (Reg) Smith of Virginiatown and Margy (late Ross) Swackhammer of Callander. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren: Ricky Pitt (Michelle Benoit) and Brody Etches both of North Bay.
Mr Etches is predeceased by his brother Bill (Jeannette) Etches of North Bay and by his companion Joyce Stewart.
Family and friends may attend a memorial gathering that will be held in his honor at the West Ferris Legion on Tuesday, December 16th, 2008 from 4 to 6 pm. pm. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Online condolences may be made to www.martynfh.com.
