after a long, full life, Verva died peacefully on April 27, 2006, in her 87th year. She was born September 10, 1919, in Dalrymple, the middle child of 5 born to John A. and Annie McGillivray. Verva entered Nursing at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay and Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 2 pm. Interment following cremation will be with her late husband Murray and son Gordon at Bolsover Cemetery. If desired, flowers are welcome or donations may be made to the VON or the Sara Whitehead Scholarship Fund.
