Obituary of Joan Verna Clementine O'Hare

Passed away peacefully, at the Mattawa Hospital, Wednesday, December 20, 2017 in her 81st year. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Ronald O’Hare, her son, Patrick O’Hare, and granddaughter Angele Gravelle, as well as her parents, Clifford and Holdieth (Jo) Condie, sisters Connie Bradshaw, Vera Adams, Lola Latimer, Shirley Wall, and only brother Grant Condie and is survived by her beloved sister Velma Spinks. Dearly missed by her children Carol Anne Gravelle (Jay) of Kingston, Bruce O’Hare (Kelly) of Manitoulin Island, James O’Hare (Monique) of Mattawa, and Maureen O’Hare-Nebre (Joe) of Sudbury. Sadly missed by grandchildren Sean (Anne), Meagan (Kyle), Luke, Logan, Cameron, Pierre, Patrick, Josee, Mya, and new great granddaughter Maeve Gordon. Joan was a precious aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was most happy when surrounded by family. Joan was a woman of strong faith which strongly influenced her daily life and interactions. Family and friends will be received at the Martyn & Sloan, ‘Mattawa Chapel’ on Thursday December 28, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Mattawa, on Friday December 29, 2017 at 11:00am. The family wishes to thank Dr. Wilkins and the staff at Mattawa Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion this past year. Many thanks to the hospital administration team for their continued pursuit in providing quality patient/family centered care. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mattawa Hospital Hospice or St. Anne's Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
