Obituary of Frances Mae Atkinson

The Atkinson family sadly announces Fran's death on Sunday, June 11th, 2017, at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 89 years. Fran was the beloved wife of the late Ross and the dear mother of Karen Vincent (Jacques) of Sudbury, Rev. Dr. Wayne (Heather) of Westbank, B.C., Brian (Andrea) of Warren, Diane (Stewart Wood) of Dorchester, and Gary (Catherine) of North Bay. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Summer, Shannon and Alyssa, Jack, Claire, and her 6 great grandchildren. Fran is also survived by her siblings Jean Clarkson of Fordwich, Ont., Hazel Harris of Tottenham and Ronald (Judy) of Brantford. She was predeceased by her siblings David, Bruce, Reta, George and Kenneth. Ross and Fran were long time dedicated members of Trinity United Church. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Saturday, June 24th from 12:30 pm until time for a memorial service to celebrate Fran’s life in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment of ashes to follow in North Bay Union Cemetery. If desired donations to the Cancer Society or Trinity United Church (cheques only) will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
