Obituary of Lydia Ruttan

After a short illness at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Sunday March 4, 2018 in her 94th year. Lydia was born December 19, 1924 in the East End Italian community of North Bay. Dear wife of William. Loving mother of Carol Romaine (husband Wayne) of Midhurst, Ontario, Brenda Sharpe (husband Gary) of Barrie and Nancy Tellier (husband Joe) of St. Thomas. Sadly missed by grandchildren Darcy Romaine (wife Michelle and children Xavier and Emerson), Tiffany Lawson (husband Phillip and daughter Claire), Jessica Feeney (husband Ryan and son Frederick), Jordan Sharpe, Cory Grimster, Lindsay Grimster (son Ethan) and Danielle Tellier. Predeceased by her parents Michelina Galuppo and Antonio Carfagnini and by siblings Natalina Cipparone, Joshua Carfagnini, Yolanda Catillo, Mary Wilhelm, Helen Mackey, Sam Carfagnini and Joe Carfagnini. Survived by her sisters Lucy Barber of St. Catherines and Gloria Fawcett of Sudbury. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Tuesday March 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Calvary Pentecostal Temple, 271 Ski Club Road, on Wednesday March 7th at 2 pm. Interment will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery. Lydia’s family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation and thankfulness for the compassionate and exemplary care by the staff of C3 and Drs.
