Obituary of Benjamin Edward Dunn

July 24, 1980 – October 31, 2017
Ben died tragically as a result of a highway traffic accident near Cookstown on the evening of October 31st. His childhood home was in Woodstock, New Brunswick where he was raised on the family farm. His passing is mourned by his wife Nikiyah Dunn and nine children; Moriyah, Isaac, Caleb, Lidiyah, Elijah, Hannah, Zionnah, Neveah and Havalah.
He was predeceased by his Grandparents Hilda and Burleigh Dunn and Rita and Frank Brown. He was the son of William Dunn (deceased) and Marion Dunn Geneau. Left to mourn his passing are his siblings Andrew, Terri Lynn (Wayne), and Jennifer (Jared) along with his in-laws Art Marsh and Dianne Ringuette. He was the dear brother in law of Ryan Blackbird March (Colleen Wabenose), Paul Blackbird Marsh (deceased) and Tawnya Blackbird Marsh (deceased).
Ben’s kids meant everything to him. He enjoyed nothing more than when they were all together for family events. He was a committed and hard working husband and loving Dad to his children. He had many interests including guitar, music, farming, fishing and hunting. A graduate of Nipissing University he earned a Bachelor’s degree in political science and mathematics. Ben worked in several fields; as a Welder, as a Miner, as well in the Northern Ontario Film Industry and as a Transport Driver.
Ben put his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as a young man. Ben and his family attended Bethel Gospel Chapel where his funeral will be held on Tuesday November 7th, beginning at 2 p.m. Visitation will be from 1 o’clock onward.
