My condolences to the Valois family. I was saddened to hear of Lee's passing. He was one of my best friends in High School. Then our lives took different directions and we lost touch with one another. After years apart we found ourselves back in Mattawa. I really enjoyed our chats whenever we met at the post office. I will miss him and always remember him as a good friend and keep him in my prayers.

My heartfelt condolences to the Valois family. Mr. Valois was my teacher in 1980-81 and left a lasting impression, perhaps the most lasting of any teacher I've had. He challenged me to think and to express my thoughts coherently and to defend my opinions concreatly. He infuriated me so much that I worked all the harder just to prove him wrong and I am a better person for that experience. I wish I had had the opportunity to tell him how much of impact he made in my life. I wish I could have told him that I reference him to my 12 year old daughter when I challenge her to break sloppy speaking habits that only Mr. Valois took to me task on and for which I am grateful to him for nagging me to death, 'you know'? Rest in peace Mr. Valois. You did good sometimes. Thank you.

So sorry to hear that my teacher is no longer with us. He taught me geography at Hearst High School. He was an amazing teacher and always kept us interested and made us laugh. Condolences to his family and friends. I know he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The lessons that you taught over the 30 years teaching at Hearst High School will not be forgotten by those countless students that you have impacted. Many of us owe our ability to look at all sides of an issue to your teachings. RIP Sir.
