The Lamothe family sadly announces Diana’s death on Saturday November 11, 2017. She died peacefully at the Algonquin Nursing Home, Mattawa a month after celebrating her 95th birthday. Diana (née Bélanger) was the beloved wife of the late Raphael Lamothe, who predeceased her in 1991. Proud and loving mother of Céline Massaroni of North York, Betty-Ann Dashnay and her husband Jason of Ottawa and Émile Lamothe and his wife Sylvie of Swastika . She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Lisa (Daniel), Anne (Ryan), Paul (Talia), Daniel (Nicole), Chad (Wendy), Cole (Stéphanie), Justin (Erin), Mathieu and great grandchildren Marcus, Andrew, Mikayla, Nora, Fiona, Lia, Austin, Lilly and Blake. Dearly loved sister of Bernard, Paul Émile and Gisèle. Diana was predeceased by her parents Oscar and Oliva Bélanger and by her siblings George, Roger, Fernand, Lucien, Maurice, Richard, André, Blanche ( Diana’s twin) and Éthel. Friends may call at Martyn & Sloan “Mattawa Chapel” on Thursday November 16 from 2-4 and 7-9:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church at 11:00am Friday November 17, 2017. Interment to follow at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Diana’s family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Algonquin Nursing Home, for the wonderful care and the compassion given to their Mom during the years that she made her home there.
