Obituary of Nathaniel Gilles Gregory Muller

Please share a memory of Nathaniel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

MULLER, Nathaniel (Nate)

Nathaniel (Nate) was 26 years old born on August 1, 1998.  Born to his father Bert Muller and his mother Lisa Snider. A little brother to Scooter Muller, who was born 18 months earlier. Loving father to Kashtyn (mother, Brenna).  He was loved by his grandparents, Bill & Cheryl Snider, and Ann & Don Gordon, uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and colleagues.

Nate had a razor-sharp sense of humour and enjoyed making others laugh.  He loved animals and often volunteered at the humane society to walk dogs.  He had a community of people who loved him.  He fathered a beautiful baby boy, whom he was especially proud of.  He wanted a better life for him and his son; he finished high school through adult education and enrolled in the Culinary Chef skills program at Canadore College.  He was a hard worker and took pride in all of his projects.  He wanted so much more for his life, but was grateful for what he had.

There are not enough tears, and during this time of grieving, we will all feel an array of emotions.  Guilt that we could have done more.  Anger that there are so few and easily accessible mental health services for people who need them.  Utter despair that people who are hurting turn to things that erode their humanity.  A profound ache that can’t be described.  A heavy sadness with the realization that our time together was cut so short.  An eternal gratefulness for the good hearts that touched Nate’s life, and saw the goodness in him.

You can rest in peace now, our beautiful boy.  There is some comfort in knowing that wherever you are, you are no longer in pain.  We will never have to worry about where you are, we know you are now safe and at peace.  And we hope beyond hope, that one day we will be together again.

For everyone who knew and loved Nate, we are so grateful for your love and support at this time.

"Where we seemed to have failed, we know that Your Spirit in us cannot fail. Where we seem to be lacking in health or in supply, in wisdom or in love, we know that Your Spirit in us stands perfect. Because You are with us, we know that we are better than we seem, that we have come further than we think, that we are more wonderful than we know. "
