Condolences to my first cousin Bill’s family and friends! We were so grateful is see him at Hastings MI Summer Fest in 2023! I remember him as a young man in MI playing guitar with his father Uncle Maurice at family events. The Hammond(s) trace back to Central England, possibly to 1500s and were in the wool Industry before the Industrial Revolution!

I had the absolute pleasure of getting to know Bill through our ITS band at work. Always smiling, loving the music, and so gentle with anyone he encountered. We made beautiful music together, and I will always be thankful for that. I cherish the hug I got from a few weeks ago when I ran into him at Twiggs. I send my deepest condolences to his family and friends. He will truly be missed.

Hey Bill. We will definitely remember you as a kind and gentle soul; always ready with a good witty crack accompanied by a great smile. We spent many hours playing music together with our "work band". Jams every week at the office and performing for the annual "Spirit of Giving" Christmas celebration in the building where we worked in North Bay. You were a regular for many years. We will miss you and the warm vibe you always brought. Rest in Peace.

Last summer when Bill attended the picnic for the Class of 1967 at the park in Hastings, many of us had a nice visit with him. We are sorry to hear of his passing - we're glad we have this memory of him.

Bill was a kind soul in all aspects of his life - In his 'working days' engagements, in his personal relationships, and of course as a gifted musician. Bill always gave so generously with his heart, talents, and that brilliant smile. We'll miss his dry wit, clever anecdotes, and overall presence... Rest peacefully Bill.
