It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John McMillian Scott at the age of 101. John peacefully passed away on November 1, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family.
John was born on January 18, 1923, and lived a long and fulfilling life. He was a devoted brother to Charlie Scott (May) of Barrie, who survives him. John was predeceased by his loving wife, Lillian Scott, his beloved companion for over 50 years, who passed away in 2021. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with love and cherished memories.
A dedicated member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, John was known for his unwavering faith and commitment to his beliefs. His warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Respecting John's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in John's honour.
John’s presence in our lives was a true gift, and his memory will forever remain in our hearts.
