Please share a memory of Ruth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Taylor, Eva Ruth ([‘Skip’] Coombes) – Passed away peacefully at Nipissing Serenity Hospice on September 26, 2024, in her 100th year. Ruth was the beloved wife of Bill (William M.) Taylor for 69 years.  Loving mother of Sylvie (Taylor) Davies and Michael (Gilles) Taylor. Much loved grandmother to Aubrey Taylor, Melissa Taylor (Dag Gebremedhin), Crystal Duggan and Carl Duggan.  Great grandmother to Angel, Audrey, Aiden, Skye, Desiree, Heaven, Noah and Kierra.  Pre-deceased by her mother Lillian (Morton) and father, George Coombes and her son in law Ron Duggan.  Ruth found joy in many aspects of her life:  teaching piano lessons, her ministry of music role at Emmanual United Church where she played the organ and led the choir for 60 years, in her classroom at West Ferris, on the ski hill, playing tennis, and walking her dogs, but as Ruth often commented, she found the most joy hosting her family, friends and co-workers with her legendary family gatherings, soiree’s and dinner parties . Visitation at Martyn Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM with a memorial service from 2:00 to 3:00  PM.  If desired, donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
