Obituary of Roger Leo Joseph Corbeil
Roger (Peter) Leo Joseph CORBEIL
1949-2024
It is with profound sadness that we share the sudden passing of Roger (Peter) Corbeil after a brief battle with cancer on Friday September 6th, 2024 at the age of 75. Born in North Bay to Pola Simard, he is survived by his sister Carol (John deceased). He was a loving husband to his best friend Jocelyne of 54 years. Peter was immensely proud of his children Sandra (Cliff) and Jamie (Carine), along with his grandchildren Rially (Kim), Timothy, Andrew, and his great-granddaughter Violet.
Peter valued hard work and supporting his family above all, and worked hard as a small business owner to do so. He loved fishing and spent a great deal of time with his young family camping and making memories. In his much-deserved retirement, he could be found on many golf courses with his friends. He will be greatly missed by his many family members and friends.
The family would like to thank all of the staff and volunteers at the Northern Cancer Centre Sudbury and our North Bay emergency services for their excellent care and dedication to helping their patients.
In keeping with Peter’s wishes, there will be no funeral and the family will hold a private Celebration of Life at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Northern Cancer Centre Foundation Sudbury would be greatly appreciated.”
