I'm terribly sorry for your loss...The whole family, and particularly Larry, Ruby and Tiny.
I had the pleasure of working with Randy for more than 10 years with the NNDSB. He was a hard worker, and always interested in that which he felt was best for kids. More of us should be like Randy was.
Take care.

Dearest Father,
You have raised me to treat others the way u want to be treated and do it FIRST, Accept the things you cannot change, and the courage to change the things u can. Are just a few things in a very long list of things you have taught me. I could not have asked for a better father, dad, a friend. I am honored to call u my Dad, Father, the Good Sheppard. Love u always Dad, you will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace!

Pa (Dad) – ONE OF THE GREATS – for sure – well said Randee
You lived your life in service of others, never wasting a chance to help or encourage the people who were lucky enough to cross paths with you. I was a life long benefactor of your wisdom, guidance, kindness, and will be forever grateful to you. On June 5th you left this world with the flash of lighting and the rumble of thunder, which is a symbol of your strength and power. Then we were blessed with the most beautiful double rainbow which to me represents your compassion, kindness, and unconditional love. Rest well Dad and know I will carefully follow what you have asked of me.

So sad to hear of Randall’s passing. I am thinking of all the family, and sending deepest condolences to Tiny and all the Sheppard family. We had not seen Randy for quite a few years but I will always have many fond memories of him when we got to see each other at Sheppard family gatherings over the years, usually in Sudbury. He was fun, and could he ever tell a good story! He will be missed by many. May his soul Rest In Peace. Sheryl & Bob Beaulac

Dad, thank you so much for this precious gift you gave to each of us so that we could hold your hand when you were no longer with us, and it will provide us with the strength we need to carry on. I will miss you always but I know you're watching over us. I love you xoxo

ONE OF THE GREATS
I know everyone thinks their grandfather is the best, but I can assure you that my poppa was one of the absolute best of the best! Poppa was a man who dedicated his life to his community, preferred his tea on an armchair and was the Santa in every single one of our family gatherings; he will always remain our only Santa.
Growing up I’d spend summers with my cousins Cassey & Brian in North Bay where we’d spend so much time at Poppa & Nan’s place. They had one of them big old homes with a huge spiral staircase, surrounded by trees with an old style black vehicle with cobwebs in all the back windows (the things you remember). We’d spend so much time tapping away at the piano, sleeping in Nan’s closet after dressing up in all her clothing, and exploring. They always had so many trinkets to discover! His corner store was right next door with the best creek in the back for frog catching. Every kid that went into the store for ice cream came out with scoops bigger than their heads!
He was a school board trustee for nearly 30 years, a Mason and a Shriner (the memories of him in his little Shriner go kart will live forever!) and he dedicated so much of his time to raising funds for the Shriner’s Children Hospital. I guess I know where I get my community spirit from!
I’ll never forget the day he took my sister Karlee fishing. He didn’t have any worms and so he cut up some Italian sausage and told her that the fish in this lake were Italian. He just wanted to sit and relax and not have any questions for the next couple of hours. Boy was he surprised when she did in fact catch a fish LOL!
Poppa was the kind of man, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather that taught you the importance of working hard, being honest in your work and doing the best job you can.
The people that make the biggest impact in the world are people like my poppa; people that are honest, loving and always putting the needs of their family and their community first.
I’ll love you forever poppa, thank you for teaching me about community and family. Thank you for being my forever Santa.
