Obituary of Barbara Rose Kimber

The world is a little smaller today and It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Rose Kimber share her passing at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Monday, June 3rd, 2024, she was 77 years old. She was the loving mother of Kimberly Mentzer, Graham Hodgins, Shawn Hodgins (Meghan), and will be remembered by her ‘adopted sons’ Jeffrey and Timothy. Predeceased by her daughter Heather Renaud. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Ashley, Sydney, Jazmine, Meghan, Abigail, Nicholas, Donovan, and great grandchild Kaziah. Dear sister of Michael Kimber (Pam) and Geri Morgan (Bill).  Barb a dedicated and talented hairdresser, started by working alongside Ron and Bill Smith, where she quickly established herself as a sought-after stylist. After several successful years she continued to excel in her profession honing her skills and building a loyal clientele. For the last 35 years of her career, Barb was a cherished member and owner of Head Hunters Unisex. Her expertise, creativity, and friendly demeanour made her a favourite among clients and colleagues alike.

A celebration of Barb's life and career will be held on Tuesday, June 11th, at the Martyn Funeral Home from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation, reflecting Barb's lifelong commitment to helping others.
