Obituary of Elsie Madalene Black

Elsie Black

Passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Sunday, May 19th, 2024. Elsie Madalene Black (nee Hall) was the beloved wife of Robert Black (predeceased) and daughter of Albert Hall and May Walker. Loving mother to Carrie Mulligan (predeceased) and Nancy Colbourne (Michael). She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Ruth-Ann Colbourne-Mantha, Sarah McCullagh (Dan), Cara-Lee Colbourne-Lyttle (Chris) and Derek McCullagh and by her eight great grandchildren Mackenzie, Austin, Branwyn, James, Aidan, Ireland, Faith, and Finn. Predeceased by her siblings Clifford Hall and Glenn Hall. Elsie graduated from St. Joseph College in Nursing and worked at St. Joseph Hospital and for Dr. Bill Keech. She was a long-time dedicated member of St. Brice’s Anglican Church and Christ Church Anglican in North Bay.

The family would like to thank all the Doctors, Nurses, PSW’s and staff at the hospital for the care and friendship they showed Elsie during her stay and final days.

 Memorial Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 9:00am – 10:30am until time for a Memorial Service in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30am. Interment will follow in the family plot at the St. John’s Anglican Cemetery.

If desired donations to Christ Church Anglican in North Bay or charity of your choice would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the Martyn Funeral Home.
