Madelene Anne Stoughton 1923-2024
Mom has passed peacefully, with family by her side, just a few weeks short of her 101st birthday.
A lifelong North Bay resident, Mom was predeceased by her husband Arnold and son Scott.
Survived by her son Grant with Kelly and her 4 grandchildren Ryan, Eric, Katherine, and Sean, and great grandchildren, Mia and Ash, Grayson and Rory, and her daughter-in-law Diane Stoughton.
Madelene was an editor of the North Bay Nugget during World War II and raised her family here in the city of North Bay. She was an avid gardener, artist, and writer. She enjoyed countess summers living and traveling on her beloved lake Nipissing.
The family will be observing a quiet private gathering to celebrate her outstanding life.
