Dorothy Cushner (née Coolich)

With great sadness, Dorothy passed away peacefully at Waters Edge Care Community on Wednesday, October 25th, 2023, she was 87 years old. Dear wife of 67 years to Peter Cushner, who passed away in January of this year. Loving Mother of Cathleen Bourbonnais (Jean) of North Bay and Cindy Dobbs (Todd) of Arizona. She was predeceased by her son Perry (Susan surviving). Sadly, missed by her grandchildren Melissa Abraham (Dave), Danielle Britton, Tyler Cushner (Bianca), Travis and Dean Cushner, and great-grandchildren Adele Abraham, Falyn Abraham, and Taylor Cushner. Dearly loved sister of Bob Coolich (Karen), Herb Coolich, and predeceased Lucy Cable. Many in the North Bay area will remember Dorothy as the Switchboard person at St Joseph’s Hospital for over 25 years. At Dorothy’s request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Peter and Dorothy’s lives will be held at Gateway Church on Marshall Saturday, November 11th, at 11:00 am. Arrangements entrusted to the Martyn Funeral Home.
