Gil was one of my life long friends and I an very sorry to see he has passed this earthly bond. We grew up in ferris, went to Tweedsmuir Public Schiol and Gil rescued me more than once from bullies. I appreciated his friendship when we met at Twiggs even after so many years. I remembervwhen the Bowness fsmily moved to North Bay. Ike (sr.) was a manager at the Sears store on Main Street near F4aser before they bought the Bonnie View Motel down in Ferris. I will miss you old friend.

To the entire Bowness family, so sad to see and hear this notice. Annie, Stu and Nancy a big hug to you all. I would love to share a quick story if I may to bring a smile to you all. One evening we were heading out on the town and Gil made sure we were safe, Annie had his credit card……. I am more than sure we used that card for more than a taxi to and fro….I do remember Annie saying …. “It’s in Gil” Gil was so generous and kind, he and Nancy always opened their doors to the youth in the community. He was so generous and real. I enjoyed any time I spent with him and sadly as I have grown older not shared my thoughts with Gil. Please know I am thinking of you all today and as you move forward in the next part of this journey. Hold on to all your memories close to the heart ❤️.
