At North Bay Regional Health Centre on Saturday July 22, 2023 in his 96th year. Alvin Frederick Moyer was the beloved husband of Norma Brooks (predeceased in 2019). Married in 1948 Norma & Al were married for over 70 years. Proud and loving father of Brett (Louise) of Ottawa, Jane Adlard (Keith predeceased) of Russell, Laura Carmichael (Steven), and Alan (Louise) all of North Bay and David of Owen Sound. Lovingly remembered by his 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Al is predeceased by his sister Beth and brothers Russell, Don and Bill. A life-long resident of North Bay Al was a dedicated husband, father and community volunteer. He served on the North Bay Public School Board as chairman, was a member of the Civic Hospital Board, was a past President of the North Bay Curling Club, and served as a member of the former Industrial Commission. He and Norma were dedicated members of Trinity United Church and served as Elders for many years. He was also a member of Nipissing Lodge # 420 AF & Am, and the Ramses Shrine Club and a Rotarian since 1969. Al and Norma owned and operated Fosdicks in downtown North Bay from 1972 until retiring in 1996. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday July 28th from 9:30 am to 11:00 am with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
