To a dear friend.
I’ve new Bill since I was 13. Bill and Pat lived next door to us. I used to babysit their kids. Bill played music at my wedding. We always stayed in touch. Then Bill and Pat moved at the Northland Apartment building were my mom and dad were also staying. Bill was always available it was great to get to know them again. Once my parents left the building , i kept in touch with Bill and he always took time for visit. He was my 411 , he was always available I will miss him dearly. Rest in peace my friend. I’m sending my deepest sympathies to all of the family. Bill and I were friends only for a short time but it was an honour to know him during that time. He was such a kind and caring man and he always talked so lovingly about all of his family. He was so enthusiastic when he shared stories about all his volunteer experiences. Bill and his parents and siblings were well known in New Liskeard growing up in the 50’s and 60’s.
I moved to North Bay and loved seeing Bill at the Jr. hockey games, and having a few words. He was a good friend to my brother Robert Landry.
I enjoyed going to the curling events when the Robbie Gordon team was going to the Briar in the west in Saskatchewan where I was living at the time. He and Pat were wonderful supporters.
He had shoes not easily filled.

My sincere condolences to Bill's family. Our family history goes back over 75 years. I still remember Bill taking his sister Margie and I for a boat ride in the little tin boat on Twin Lakes when we were all youngsters. Rest in peace Bill.
