It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cindy Whitehouse on June 1, 2023, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Cindy passed in her home surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Cindy will be deeply missed by her husband John, her children Peter (Crystal) and Amy, and her grandchildren Colton, Haley, Ryker, and Kimble.

She was predeceased by her parents Bernice and Wilfred Sawyer, and her sister-in-law Jane.

Cindy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who cherished every moment she had with the people she loved. She loved gardening, being by the lake, paddle boarding with John, and her precious golden doodle Lola. Cindy loved travelling with her bestie Tanya and spending time with her grandchildren.

John and Cindy were inseparable best friends who shared a love that will endure forever.

Cindy will also be missed by her sisters-in-law Sue (Joe), Christine (Ray), and Cathy (Vince).

The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to Dr. Wendy Graham and Dr. John Seguin for their exceptional care and support during Cindy's illness.

A Celebration of Cindy's life will be held at a later date.

Don’t think of her as gone away,

her journey’s just begun,

Life holds so many facets,

this earth is only one,

Just think of her as resting,

from the sorrows and the tears,

In a place of warmth and comfort,

where there are no days or years,

Think how she must be wishing,

that we could know today,

How nothing but our sadness,

can really pass away,

And think of her as living,

in the hearts of those she touched,

For nothing loved is ever lost,

and she was loved so much.
