Obituary of Richard Capotosto

CAPOTOSTO, Richard “Rick”

nee Andrew Allen

September 24, 1970 – May 17, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard “Rick” Capotosto, who passed away on May 17, 2023, at the age of 52. Rick is survived by his loving wife Sheila Carruthers, his sons Lucas Capotosto and Nicholas Cotter, his brothers Kelly Roberts, Scott Roberts, and Theodore Roberts, and his father Anthony Capotosto. He was predeceased by his mother Shirley Percival.

Rick was a kind and caring person who will be deeply missed by many, including his extended family and friends, and especially his YMCA Gym family in North Bay. He had many passions in life, including cooking, and was known for his delicious banana cake. He was a self-identified professional driver, enjoyed working on movie sets, and was a jack of all trades. He had a great love for his dog Rocky and enjoyed cuddling with his cat King. Rick loved painting, gardening, and going to the gym, which was an integral part of his life.

Rick will be remembered as a warm and loving person who touched the lives of many. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Visitation for Rick will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, from 12:00pm – 2:00pm at the Martyn Funeral Home (464 Wyld St. North Bay) followed by a service in the chapel at 2:00pm.
