Obituary of Lorraine Dorothy Shapiro

Lorraine SHAPIRO (née Cameron)

With great sadness, the family of Lorraine announces her sudden passing at her home on Sunday, March 26th, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Max Shapiro; Lorraine was 71 years old. The loving mother of Cory Cousineau (Stephanie) of Astorville and Andrea Shapiro (Philip Champigny) of Ottawa. She was the cherished grandmother of Mya and Claire. She was the dear sister of Malcolm and Donald Cameron. Predeceased by her parents, William and Win Cameron, and by her brother Gordon. Her nieces and nephews will sadly miss her. Lorraine was dedicated to her family, supporting Max as he expanded his business, nurturing Cory and Andrea to succeed, and doting on Mya and Claire as they became strong and independent young women.

Cremation will take place at the Forest Lawn Cemetery. Lorraine's family will receive friends at the Martyn Funeral Home on Saturday, April 1st, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. In lieu of Flowers, donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre, Renal Unit would be appreciated by her family.
