Obituary of Eileen Jones

JONES, Eileen Margaret

October 6, 1931 – March 24, 2023

Our beloved Mum, Nannie, and Great Nannie passed away peacefully at the NBRHC with her daughter Karen by her side. She was 91 years old.

Eileen was born in Liverpool, England, and moved to Canada in the late 1950s, eventually settling in North Bay. Eileen worked as a nurse dedicating her life to caring for others. She was a selfless person who always put others first.

Eileen loved living at Marina Point, where she made many friends and enjoyed some great times. Our Mum loved music and spent most of her winters in Florida with her beloved husband Ken. Eileen traveled to England to visit her family and always missed home. 

Loving Mum to Linda McDonald, Sandy Quesnel (Claude), and Karen Lavictoire (Andy Boudreau). She was also a proud Nannie to Matthew (Mary-Anne), Patti (Shawn), Evan (Jasmine), Deena (Kristin), Jacob (Tarrah), and Myella, proud Great Nannie to Hannah, Sebastien, and Gabrielle. Family was the most important thing to her. Eileen will now be reunited with her beloved husband Ken who passed away in 2009.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the PSW's at CarePartners, Esther, Andrea, Hetal, Stuart, and Crescent. They would also like to extend a very special thank you to Diane Roy and all of the people who cared and loved for their Mum over the years.

As per Eileen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association or the North Bay Humane Society.

Eileen will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Please celebrate Eileen's life by enjoying a "wee drop" in her honor. Rest in peace Mum, and know that you will be forever loved and remembered.
