Obituary of Shirley White

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Shirley White at Cassellholme on Friday February 24, 2023. Beloved wife and best friend for over 70 years of Bob (Buck) White. Survived by daughter Debi (Brad Russell) of Hamilton and son Don (Joan) of Peterborough. Loving grandmother to David and Daniel Russell and great grandmother to Reese and Remy Russell of Hamilton. Predeceased by sisters Gene Gordon and Ollie Edmunds and brothers Bill and George.

Shirley was a member of the IODE Dr. Herbert A. Bruce Chapter, Pinewood Golf Club and the Red Hat Ladies Chapter. Together she and Bob enjoyed square dancing with the Gateway Gliders and their association with the Club 45 Dinner and Dance group and the North Bay Canadian Club. Over the years they were fortunate to have been able to travel together to many different countries of interest.

A special thank you to Cassellholme staff for their wonderful care. As per Shirley’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. Cremation will take place with a private burial at a later date in the family plot at St. John’s Cemetery.
