Obituary of Kam Hung Fong
Ken died peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Sunday January 22, 2023 at the age of 93.
He is survived by his loving wife Shiu Fung (nee Mark), children Jennie, Jack and Johnny (Nadia), siblings Kam Cho and Wai Ling and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ken came to Canada in Jun 1954 first settling in New Liskeard, Ontario. After moving to North Bay, he married wife Shiu in 1964.
During the course of his life, he and Shiu operated and worked in various eating establishments in the area. They were long time owners of the Silver Bay Lunch before his retirement at the El Morocco in 1994.
Ken was an avid sports fan cheering for his favourite teams the Jays, Habs and Raptors. He never missed an opportunity to play the lottery and visit the casino.
A private ceremony will take place at Martyn Funeral Home with the burial and Celebration of Life to follow in the spring.
