Paul and I were destined to be friends. We kept running into each other over the years. I first met Paul when he had a trailer at Log Chateau in Fenelon Falls. His trailer was across from mine. We certainly had some fun times around the campfire. He was always so good to my daughter & son. My husband and I were so sad when he choose to leave the park.
Years passed and I was working for Black & McDonald at the OPG Pickering nuclear plant. I was the training manager and Paul being a PF, came to work at the plant. Immediately we recognized each other and kept in touch several times for the next few years. Eventually though we both went our ways with our employment.
Then for a third time we met each other again. This time I had a trailer at Birdsall Beach, just outside of Hastings and we would go to the Hastings Legion on Friday nights for the Meat Roll. It was here that I ran into my friend Paul again. We had a few beers with him several times at the Legion over the years. I remember one day we were out on our boat and went for a visit at his place on Rice Lake. We eventually sold our trailer and was no longer in the Hastings area. We eventually retired to the Belleville area. So I was surprised to see Paul's death notice in the local newspaper. I was also saddened to learn that Paul had become ill prior to his death. God bless those that looked after him. Our condolences to the family & friends of Paul.
RIP my dear friend -------- Until we meet again
