Courchesne (Gendreau) - Georgette

With hearts full of love and surrounded by loved ones the family announces the passing of Georgette at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice on August 18, 2022, at the age of 82.

Georgette was the beloved wife of the late Jean Paul Courchesne and the loving mother to Suzan Dalyk (Nick) of Kitchener, Jocelyne King (Mark) of North Bay and Sylvie Venditti (Tony) also from North Bay.  She was the cherished grandmother to Stacey, Eric, Alexandra and Ryan and great-grandmother to Jordan.

She is survived by her cousin Peggy Clarke (Kim) of North Bay, brother-in-law Henri Courchesne (Georgette) of Sturgeon Falls, sister-in-law Louise Courchesne of Sturgeon Falls. She is predeceased by her parents Patrick Gendreau and Laurette Laporte.

Georgette was a member of the West Ferris Ladies Recreation for numerous years. With this involvement she volunteered many hours and years at the West Ferris Arena snack bar.  She was a kind and loving person, and everyone was her friend.  She loved a great ball game either from the stands in Florida during spring training or from the comfort of her home.  The Toronto Blue Jays have lost a very devoted fan.

As per Georgettes wishes, cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of life will be held at a later date. If desired, donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice or North Bay Regional Health Centre would be gratefully acknowledged by her family. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the Nurses and Staff of the Nipissing Serenity Hospice, especially Twinkle.  They would also like to acknowledge the care and Staff on 3C/3D at the NBRHC.  A special thank you goes out to Dr. Gauthier and Dr. Jinnah for their care and compassion.
