So sorry to hear about Ben...First met Ben in about 1961 when 6 poor bankers were sharing a 2 bedroom apartments. Attended Ben and Stella's wedding at Gore Bay. Lost touch for many years but got reconnected a number of years ago. I had been trying to reach him with no result but knew that he had been in Sudbury for a major operation. He was a great guy. A great story tell and someone you could count on. I will miss his dissertations on the Blue Jays and the Leafs and his opinion on the state of politics in Canada. Richard Gerhardt

I am so sorry to hear of Ben's passing. He and my late husband David spent a lot of time together on the Finance Committee and David had a great respect for Ben's knowledge and capabilities. Ben liked to send David jokes, especially about golf! He will be missed greatly by Emmanuel United Church. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this most difficult time.

My sincere sympathy to Ben's family. I got to know Ben through Emmanuel United Church and always enjoyed his terrific sense of humour. He was a valued member and will be greatly missed.

Ben was a valued, long time member of Emmanuel United Church as he was involved with the Finance Committee, the Supper Planning Committee, Beef & Turkey Suppers & other Fund raising events. Ben was a devoted friend of another Emmanuel person, Jean Protomanni as he often went to visit with Jean for several years when she was in the Nursing Homme across from Emmanuel. We have missed Ben's presence at our Worship Services over the past few years as he was a person who regularly attended in the past. He is now with God in Heaven & no doubt resting in peace & comfort! Our prayers go out to Ben's family & friends for comfort & peace.
