Obituary of Norm and Mary Spiess

After 71 amazing years of marriage, Norman and Mary have done their final dance into the sunset together.

Their family is heart broken and yet are happy they can continue their journey along side one another. Norman (September 17^th, 1928) passed away peacefully on June 18^th, 2022 at North Bay Regional Health Centre and Mary (April 20^th, 1931) passed away peacefully on June 20^th, 2022, at Cassellholme. Less than 36 hours apart.

Norm and Mary are the loving parents of their sons Kenneth (predeceased 2000), Larry (predeceased 1990) (Theresa) and Donald (Kcristal). They will be so missed by their grandchildren Glenn, Jamie, Travis, Kayla (Datis Khoshdelan), Cebryna (Nick Faubert-Smith), and Mackenzy (Chris Hebert). They were so proud of their great-grandchildren Sarah Spiess, Alison Spiess, Adley Faubert-Smith, Everley Faubert-Smith and Wesley Hebert.

Norm is survived by his sister Doreen (Bill, predeceased) and predeceased by his brothers Ed (June), Larry (Marilyn, predeceased). Mary is survived by her sister Verna (Dennis, predeceased). They will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

A very special thank you to Dr. Brian Shaw, Dr. Katie Shaw and all of the wonderful staff on C3, A1, A3 and Emergency Department at North Bay Regional Health Centre and Cassellholme. Each and every staff they met were genuinely kind, respectful and compassionate.  This meant a lot to Mary, Norm and the family.

A celebration of their lives will be held on Saturday July 9^th, 2022, at 10:30 at Omond Memorial United Church.
