Suzanne 'Suzie' Paulette Maves (nee Gauthier)

Formerly of Kirkland Lake

Suzie passed away suddenly in her home on June 11th 2022 at the age of 68.

Suzanne was the eldest daughter of the late Rolland and Agnes (nee Sowinski) Gauthier. She was the beloved wife of the late Larry Maves ; the much loved sister of Raymond Gauthier and Jeannine St. Jean (Paul St. Jean, predeceased); a special aunt to Curtis St. Jean (Dorothy Robb) and Cortney St. Jean (Chris Gervais); and a loving great aunt to Jacqueline Gervais. She will be profoundly missed by all her family and friends, including a special childhood friend, Christine, who she has known since grade 1.

Suzie was a kind person and thought of others. She had a great sense of humour and a wonderful laugh to match. She took pleasure in the company of others and always offered her time to listen.

She greatly enjoyed her home on Lake Nosbonsing which she shared with Larry for over 3 decades. She took great pride and comfort in being outside and working in her yard.

In the last decade, Suzie's whole life was devoted to the care and comfort of her husband Larry who had serious illnesses.

She loved spending time with her family, and she was looking forward to a summer full of visits with them.

At the request of Suzie, no visitations or service will be held. She will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery North Bay, Ontario.
