Obituary of Marie Angeline Duval
Marie Angeline Duval (née Caruso)
Marie passed away at the North Bay General Hospital on Saturday, June 4th, 2022, at the age of 84 years. She was the beloved wife for over 50 years of the late Maurice Russell "Bud" Duval. Loving mother of Brian “Doc” Duval and his wife Caroline (née Kennedy). She will be lovingly remembered by her grandson Zachary, and by her many nieces and nephews. Dearly loved sister of Grace Wilson and her husband Keith of North Bay, and Monsignor Angelo Caruso of Sudbury, sister-in-law Joan Wilkes (late Danny) of North Bay. Marie was predeceased by her parents Frank and Angelina Caruso, and by her siblings and their spouses Joe Caruso (Jessie), Sam Caruso (Thelma), Tony Caruso (Adele), and Angelina. She had several careers working as a Secretary at Shadone Gas, a Ward Clerk at Leisureworld, and as a Barista at the Second Cup. Marie enjoyed gardening and watching her grandson compete in a variety of sports. Her greatest joy was to see him on stage and performing in his many theatre productions. Thank you to everyone who has supported our mother throughout the years. Because of the contributions of these people, she was able to stay in her home. A special thank you to all of the medical professionals who devoted countless hours of compassion and care. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home (across from city hall) on Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Father Daniele Muscolino at Holy Name of Jesus Church (895 Memorial Drive) on Thursday, June 9th at 10:30 am. Marie's family have asked family and friends to please wear a Mask at the Funeral Home and the Church. Interment to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. If desired donations to the Worldwide Wellness Center, One Kid's Place, or Sick Kid’s will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
