In loving memory of Artie (Arthur) Trudel.

With great sadness, the family of Artie Trudel, of Mattawa, announces his unexpected passing on May 2nd, 2022, in his 46th year.

Loving partner to Donna Dumond of 15 years. Cherished Step-Father to Devin, Emily and Liam Currie. Beloved son to Evelyn Trudel. He was predeceased by his father, Dennis Trudel, and brothers Johnny and Sandy Trudel. Brother to Julie (Guy), Jacob, Shawn, Loretta (Jedd), Annette (Milan), Bonnie (Abraham), Debbie and Micheal. Special Uncle to Kody and other nieces and nephews. Brother-In-Law to Gerry (Dana), Allan (Cheryl), Bob (Maureen), and Terry (Jen) Dumond. He will also be greatly missed by his extended family and best friends, Ray and Lynne Bastien, the late Samantha Bastien, Tiffany and Erik Bittner, Kevin Bittner, and countless friends and the community of Mattawa.

Artie was deeply loved and cared for by many, with his ability to make the best of every situation with humour and patience. Artie lit up any room with his infectious laughter and joyful personality. Artie was happiest spending time outdoors, whether it be in Algonquin Park, where he worked for over 25 years as a Park Warden, camping, hunting at the Deer-Landing, cross-country skiing, or golfing. He was an avid member of the Mattawa Voyageur Curling Club, renowned for his participation in the NOCA Provincials. Artie excelled with many talents; he put forth his greatest effort to enjoy every moment of life and ensured all those surrounding him could as well. The memory of Artie will remain forever in our hearts, and he will be missed beyond measure.

A Visitation Service will be held from 6 – 9 pm on Sunday, May 8th, 2022, at Martyn Funeral Home in Mattawa. The Burial Service will begin at 11 am on Monday, May 9th, 2022, at Ste Annes' Cemetery in Mattawa, followed by a luncheon and celebration of life at the Mattawa Voyageur Curling Club.

As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the Mattawa Voyageur Curling Club on Artie's behalf.
