Obituary of Lolo Jean Wright

Please share a memory of Lolo to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Lolo Jean WRIGHT (nee McAfee)

Lolo was born in Collingwood Township, Ontario on March 26, 1923, to Samuel and Annie Lauretta McAfee. Beautiful and gracious to the end, our loving Mother passed on March 20, 2022, after a life well lived. Predeceased by her husband Thomas, with whom she shared 71 years of marriage, and their son, Jim. Left to remember her are her daughters Sharron (Ted) Thomson, Patti Bentley, Linda Wright (John Kerr), Lori (Michael) Venasse, and her cherished brother Harold McAfee of Salmon Arm, BC.

Much love and gratitude to Lolo’s granddaughter, Dana Whitman, who was an amazing support and comfort for her in her declining days. Lolo was a grandmother and great grandmother to many who will always treasure their memories spent with her and Grandpa. Lolo led by example, always turning a negative into a positive. She would rise up to any challenge that came her way. She had a deep beautiful heart and was fiercely proud of her family. They never doubted how much they were loved. Lolo exemplified class, beauty and grace.

Lolo’s family will receive friends at the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday, March 25th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. (Note Lolo’s family requests all visitors wear a facemask in the Funeral Home). A Private Family Funeral Service will be held at Calvin Presbyterian Church. Spring interment at the Forest Lawn Cemetery.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Derek Ng and the wonderful team at Eastholme for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The PADDLE Program (Providing Adults with Developmental Disabilities Lifelong Experiences  www.paddlenorthbay.ca) would be appreciated by the family.
