When I first met your Dad Connie, I was about 10years old when your Mom had him over to the house on eight street in Noranda and I was impressed by the way he dressed with his Band Kenny and the Be Bops, they had the checkered Sport coat and the white bucks, man they were cool. Then I can say that your Dad introduced me to fishing, Charleen and I will always remember the time he cooked a fish at my father's cottage on the BBQ and had an apple stuck in it's mouth to finish off the look, we were quite impressed and the fish was great. He also thought me how to eat liver, he coudn't believe I didn' like liver, so he showed me how to enjoy it with mustard, and from that day, I eat liver at least twice a month, but not with mustard. but with the works. To get back to fishing, I remember the time he took me fishing with him, I must have been around 13 years old, It was raining cats and dogs, I just wanted to go back home ( this was in North Bay), so anyways getting back to the car I some how managed to lock the keys in the car, boy that made our day, but your Dad was very calm and patient and we finally got the door unlocked. Another time when your Mom and Dad were up in Noranda for New Years Eve,I believe it was December 31st 1968, he loaned me his brand new Pontiac I think they had just purchased it, and he loaned it to me to go pick up Charleen for an erron we were runnin or something, we weren't married then, just going steady, anyways on my way back home it was slippery and the street was icy and I ran into the back of another car who was stopped at the corner, Call it lack of experience I was about 17, but again your father was very understanding about it, I coudn't get over it, he told me Bobby, it's only metal, don't worry about it. I paid for the repairs with my pay check I had just received from my job at Dominion store, he thouight it was funny that's all and then we all went dancing on New Year's Eve with the whole family and had a blast. That' how I want to remember your Dad Connie, he was a great guy and he will be missed but not forgotten, those were some of my memories of your Dad and as I said before, he's in a better place now, no more pain. Deepest condolencences to you and Jamie and the Boys, and of course to my little sister, we'll be seeing you guys soon, will be in touch, Take Care !

Dear Connie, Pauline, Jamie, Jim, and Jesse,
I was sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad, Connie. We were fortunate to grow up in the same neighbourhood together. I remember that your Dad worked installing Lundy fencing, and he had The Gold Corner in the Kennedy building for a time. I also remember his sense of humour. I have a wonderful memory of spending your birthday celebration at the cottage you frequented on Lake Kipawa. May God bless you all with His comfort in your time of loss.
With sincere sympathy,
Kelly Potts (nee Brown)

Dear Pauline, Connie, Jamie, Jim, and Jesse:
I have fond memories meeting you Connie and your Mom and Dad when you lived across the road from us on Crown Crescent in North Bay. We all attended Fricker and Widdifield High School together. Your dog Stalina was a sweetheart. I can recall some very lively board games with Chris and your Dad (I think it was Monopoly?!). I also recall us playing hide and seek outside with George and Les Leder who lived in the other side of our semi detached house. These are all great memories. Connie your father lives on in your heart and the treasured memories you have of him.
With sincere sympathy,
Dayna Denley (nee Brown)

Sincere sympathy to Pauline, Connie, and family.
Jimmy was one of a kind, with a great sense of humour and quick wit. He could deliver his one-liners when least expected.
Jim was also an excellent cook, and seemed to enjoy cooking for friends and family.
Recently, it was mentioned on A Bit of the Bay that the Band he played in (Kenny and the Be-Bops) played their music for dances at the Old Manor Hotel, on Algonquin Avenue.
I will miss you, Jim.
