Obituary of Greg Cauchy

Please share a memory of Greg to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

A man with many titles, Cauch to many, but also a loving dad, husband and grandpa. He made an impact on everyone he knew with his incredible sense of fashion, humour, culinary skills, music knowledge and desire to live life to the absolute fullest. Greg chased the sun and the sun chased him. He was an athlete and loved attending all sporting events, hardly missing a Bulldogs or Battalion game. When he wasn’t attending a sporting event, he was at every one of his daughter’s dance competitions, doing yard work in the garden, cooking for his wife, friends and family, or doing whatever he could to help out his neighbours. We are very sad to announce Greg’s passing on Tuesday October 20, 2021. While we are brokenhearted, we’re also very grateful for having had him in our lives. He will be missed by his wife Susan Martyn with whom he spent the last few years travelling the world and living life to the fullest. He was the loving father of Alana Cauchy (husband Luke Mednis), Jesse Ethier (wife Jessi Nicoll), Beau Cauchy (wife Krista) and Roman McNamara (wife Emily). Proud grandfather of Liam, Mason, Ellie, Forest, Brun and Aja. Greg will be survived by his brothers Mike (Marjorie) and Paul (Tracey). Greg’s family will receive friends at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Saturday from 1-4 p.m. Masks will be mandatory while in the Funeral Home as well as social distancing requirements.   Due to attendance limitations the celebration of Greg’s life will be for family only. If you wish to attend the service virtually, please join us on the Martyn Funeral Home Facebook page, www.facebook.com/MartynFuneralHome, on Sunday at 2pm. In the spirit of Greg’s generous nature, a donation to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by his family.
