Obituary of James Derek Demerse

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved James Derrek Demerse in his 64th year on October 17th 2021. He was surrounded by his loving family at the North Bay Regional Health Center, after a courageous but brief battle with Cancer. James was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, on November 23rd 1957. He was the son of Andrine Jansson and Jack Demerse. James will be forever missed by his wife Janice (Jan), his brother John (Claire) Demerse of North Bay. Loving father to Lindsay (Cory) of North Bay , Michael (Karen) of Peterborough and Lori (Ryan) of Manitoulin Island. James will always be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, nieces and nephews .The family would like to thank Dr. Rick Senior for your care for dad over the years, and more recently all the staff of the palliative care unit at the North Bay Regional Health Centre for their wonderful care for dad during this time. There will be no visitation or service. Cremation to take place. If desired, donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
