My deepest condolences to Laurie and family on the passing of your dear mother Gay. I would like to share with you just how precious Gay was to me. As a young new nurse at St-Joes' Emergency Department in North Bay, Gay took me under her wings 37 years ago and guided me not only with my nursing skills but also with life. We had fun together and shared many happy and special times. One such special time was when Gay introduced me to my husband of 33 years. You see, if it were not for this precious soul, I would not have the life that I have now. I live in Syracuse NY, finished my masters degree in Nursing and I am an Adult and Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. I teach nursing at a Nursing College here in Syracuse and have for 24 years. My husband and I adopted our daughter out of foster care and now she is a thriving 19 year old who is attending College. The Good Lord chose Gay to introduce me to my husband and as a result many lives were touched! Even though the years had past, I am grateful and honored to have known this beautiful soul. I am blessed to have called Gay my friend.

To Laurie and family so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful mother,not only was she beautiful but her spirit and soul shone through with every person she had touched whether at her nursing or her daily life she gave such o conditional love to all. I truly feel blessed for being a part of your life and your mothers,I will miss her dearly but who knows I may meet her on the other side someday she and old blues eyes to have another drink together or what ever they give us up there .
