Obituary of Glen Quirt
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Glen Quirt, age 70, on September 1, 2021. He leaves behind his loving wife Kim, sister Laura (Dan), sister’s in-law Susan (Chris), Rhonda (Jeff), niece Dana (Dennis) and nephews Derek, Steven (Amanda), Robert and Troy.
Glen was pre-deceased by his parents Mervin and Delia and by his sister Gale.
Glen worked at Fabrene and Dupont until his health caused him to retire early.
Glen’s favourite times were spent outdoors boating, hunting and fishing. He was a remarkable wood carver and a number of his intarsia carvings have been sent around the world and are treasured by his friends and family.
Glen was a very strong and determined man. He had many health issues, but didn’t let those stop him. He walked first with one prosthetic and then with two.
A big thank you to Dr.Toth, and the many doctors, nurses and physical therapists that helped him over the years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the War Amps or a charity of your choice.
