Obituary of Robert Alkins
Bob passed away after a short courageous battle with cancer, he left in a circle of family love.
His caring nature will be remembered by his loving wife Linda and the pride and joy of his life his daughter Melanie (Shawn) and son Wesley (Chantal). He will be fondly remembered by his brothers Bruce, Bill (Pat), Jim (Candy), Dan (Rhonda), nieces and nephews Kelly, Tom, Ryan, Tyler, and Samantha. He was predeceased by his parents Tom and Nora Alkins.
His second family was Franks Bay Hunt Club, he was an avid hunter and looked forward to their times together at the camp. After his retirement he took to playing golf and enjoyed the time spent with his foursome.
He volunteered with the Air Cadets for 18 years and also spent time at the Callander Legion as the chief dishwasher. He was a member of a few committees with the municipality of Callander.
His always smiling face and willingness to help anyone will be missed by many.
A Memorial Visitation will be held in honour of Bob on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 1:00pm – 3:30pm at the Callander Legion (345 Landsdowne St, Callander, ON P0H 1H0)
