Frances Helene Horner

April 5, 1940 – August 14, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Fran Horner on August 14, 2021, at the age of 81.

Fran is the loving wife of Frank Kilvie Horner.

She is predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Kathleen Glinski, her sister Angie and her brother-in-law Glyn.

Fran will be dearly missed by her brother John Glinski (Marian), her children Kim Oakes (John), Brad Lobregt (Bridgette), and Lee Horner.

Fran has 3 grandchildren, Jordan Oakes, Christen Oakes and William Horner.

She will be missed dearly by her nieces, nephews and many other extended family and friends.

Fran will be greatly remembered for her love for cooking, gardening and travelling the world with her husband Frank. Fran also loved golfing and painting with her best friend Heather Mackenzie, who was so kind to her in these last trying years.

The Horner family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the great staff at Nipissing Manor Nursing Home for all of their love and respect given to Fran, she loved you folks.

As per Fran’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family of Fran would like to extend an invitation to all who knew and loved her, to join us at Rorab Shrine Club on Thursday, September 9th, 2021 from 1:30 – 3:30. We will be  gathering to share our favourite memories, our stories, to laugh, to cry and to remember a wonderful person whom is greatly missed.
