Obituary of Roger Laurent Bessette

At the Nipissing Serenity Hospice on Tuesday June 15, 2021, in his 73^rd year.  Dear husband of the late Heather Bessette (Young). Loving father of Lauren Bessette (husband Steven Finlayson) of Sundridge and Barrett Bessette of Toronto.  Sadly missed by his grandchildren Nolan and Harper Finlayson.  Survived by his siblings Bernie (Bev) (Simone predeceased), Rodrique (Gord predeceased), Richard (Theresa), Denis, Edmond (Debbie), Mike (Judy) and Gilbert. Predeceased by siblings Ronald (Maria predeceased), Andy (Anita predeceased), Gerald (Kathryn surviving) and Monique. Roger will also be missed by Heather’s family, cousins and their many friends. Roger’s family will receive friends at Martyn Funeral Home on Monday, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  Due to the current pandemic restrictions which limit the number of visitors, those wishing to attend visitation are asked to call the funeral home at 705-472-8810 to confirm an arrival time.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Thomas D’Aquin Church in Astorville at 11 am on Tuesday and will be live streamed through the church’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ParoissesABCParishes.  The interment will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery following the Mass.
