Obituary of Hazel Isobel Francom
Heaven gained an Angel when Hazel Francom was reunited with the love of her life Ron Francom on June 15, 2021 after a brief illness. She was looking forward to seeing her husband Ron, her parents Ashburn and Lily Peever and her siblings Marjorie, Clarence, Georgina, Ken and Dawson, who had passed before her. She leaves behind her children Donna, Jeff (Chris) and Gail and her fur baby Blackie, her grandchildren Andrea (Ryan) and Alex (Hannah) and her great-grandchildren Jack and Clark.
Family was everything to Hazel and she enjoyed them immensely. Lots of family dinners and celebrations on holidays and birthdays. The “farmer” continued her love of gardening up until the end. She always planted a beautiful flower garden and would look forward to the cherry tomatoes she used to pluck off the plant when walking by or mowing the lawn.
We would like to thank all of mom’s great neighbours for looking out for her and providing laughs, help and many friendly chats all these years. She really enjoyed you. To her friends at the Golden Age Club, she really missed you once Covid happened and the centre was closed. She always enjoyed playing shuffle and carpet bowling with everyone at the club.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Seniors Mental Health, The Alzheimer’s Society, and especially Dr Cowan , the LHIN, and the Nipissing Serenity Hospice for their outstanding care of mom. We couldn’t have asked for a better team in her time of need.
A private family burial will take place at North Bay Union Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice or Alzheimer Society of Sudbury-Manitoulin North Bay & Districts would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
