Dear Anna & Family,
I was saddened to hear about Mike. He was a great teacher and coach during my FJ days. As the years went on and he became a Justice of the Peace, our paths crossed quite often in court. He was always fair and he always treated the people in court with respect. All the best to you and your family.

Heartfelt Condolences to Anna and family from Marty and Helene Ciutti. We always had a great time when we were together years ago. Mike was a great brother to his sister, our sister-in-law. They have reunited and are watching over us. Keep his love in your hearts and stories. All those who met Michel were truly blessed. Those we love never truly go away, they walk beside us every day!

To Anna and family,
I was saddened to hear about your dear husband Michel passing away.
It brought me back to many Mattawa memories...
We were practically neighbours-you living next door to Uncle Audey Parent, I remembered your kids were same age as my Jason and Josée. We were all young teachers at Ste-Anne’s and Mike was at F.J. and we were so supportive of each others and good friends.
When Guy passed away, you and Mike were very supportive and kind to me and my kids.
Anna , you have spent many good years with Mike and you will miss him . Take time to grieve and accept all the support from your friends, family and kids.Mike was a good husband and the best of friends and you will cherish that for the rest of your life.
I am sending you this message of condolances hoping it lessens some of the pain and sorrow you feel .
From a Mattawa friend who has never forgotten how that community is strong and supportive. Be well!

With deepest sympathy, in the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. May you always feel that he is with you.
We share in your sorrow and also reminisce about all the good times together over the years: February birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, dinner parties, Theatre Mattawa, summers camping at Champlain Park, Spring Flings on the deck and the list goes on.
Those who did not know Mike, and there are only a few, might wonder what kind of man he was. How best to describe him?
He was Michel to his loving family, Mike to his friends, Monsieur Moreau to his students and Justice Moreau to all the couples he married in his role as J.P.
He was a family man in the true sense of the word.
He was an independent person who always enjoyed giving his opinions on a variety of topics.
Mike loved to be around people! He was an amiable host who entertained his guests with his stories and good humour. No gathering was complete without a BBQ, baked beans or his remarkable cipaille. Oh yes, a few drinks as well.
Most of all he was a person you knew you could count on, no matter what.
Now that Mike is at rest, there will be an empty spot when we gather, but he will live on in the stories we’ll tell.
He will always be loved by his family and always remembered fondly by his friends and friends who are like family.
