So very sad to hear of "Mrs Merritt's" passing. She was my grade two teacher at Marshall Park, PS many, many years ago. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

So saddened to hear of Mrs. Merritts’s passing. She was my kindergarten teacher, my favourite teacher and likely why I am a primary school teacher today. I have so many fond memories of Kindergarten...our nativity play, singing around the piano, wonderful crafts and painting, snack time of milk and Venetian cream cookies. Here is Mrs. Merritt directing our spring recital dance around the May pole! She was a wonderful human being. My condolences to all who loved her.

Our condolences to our closest member, Jim and to all other members of the Merritt family.
When a daughter marries, his family becomes entwined with ours and it’s a venture into the unknown!
In Jim’s case we were fortunate to get to know and appreciate many of his family and blessed to meet his mother, Kathleen, when she visited BC. We found her a delightful companion and time in her company was always pleasurable with so much more to be discussed when we had to part.
It is with deep regret that we acknowledge her passing and trust that her long life and many memories will be of comfort to you all as the passage of time soothes her loss.

My sincere condolences to Kaye's family. I taught with Kaye in my first few years of teaching at Laurentian Public School. She was such a terrific kindergarten teacher, a sweet person and a great person to look up to as a new teacher starting out. It has been years but I can still see her face as she was in those years (1970-73, or thereabouts). You have deserved a well earned rest, Kaye.....now RIP.
